Michael A. Galvan joined Quiroga Law Office in 2025, bringing a strong foundation in family law, immigration advocacy, and community-focused legal service. His work reflects a deep commitment to delivering high-quality representation to vulnerable populations, particularly LGBTQ asylum seekers and families navigating complex legal systems. Michael combines practical courtroom experience with a background in policy outreach, legal aid, and human rights advocacy.
Michael earned his Juris Doctor from Lewis & Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon, in 2017, after graduating cum laude with a B.A. in Literature in English from the University of California, San Diego. While in law school, he served as Vice President of OUTLaw and completed coursework in immigration law, employment discrimination, LGBT rights, and civil rights litigation. His academic background is complemented by four years of Spanish language and literature studies, equipping him to serve diverse communities effectively.
Before joining Quiroga, Michael worked at View Ridge Family Law & Estate Planning in Seattle. After being admitted to the Washington State Bar in 2024, he managed his own caseload, representing clients in family and dependency law matters. He conducted legal strategy meetings, drafted motions and memoranda, and appeared in court. Prior to becoming an attorney, he spent over two years at the same firm as a paralegal, handling up to 40 active cases and gaining extensive experience with pleadings, discovery, and local civil procedure in King and Snohomish counties.
Michael’s dedication to immigrant rights was evident during his time as Sponsorship Outreach Coordinator for the Santa Fe Dreamers Project, where he collaborated with organizations like Al Otro Lado and the Transgender Law Center. He supported LGBTQ asylum seekers through every stage of the immigration process—pre-detention, during ICE custody, and post-release. His work included national outreach, application preparation, sponsor recruitment, and resource mapping for legal, housing, and medical services. Michael has also testified before Congress on the treatment of LGBTQ migrants at the US-Mexico border and led Know Your Rights trainings across the country.
Michael is licensed to practice law in the state of Washington. At Quiroga Law Office, he brings a compassionate, community-centered approach to his work. With a strong background in both litigation and advocacy, Michael contributes a well-rounded legal perspective to the firm’s mission of empowering immigrant families through dedicated and informed representation.
